Guyana football

Although the previous British colony is situated in South America, it competes in CONCACAF, together with Suriname and French Guiana. Until the independence of Guyana in the year 1966, it took part as the British Guiana national soccer side. They were actually the surprise qualifiers for the Caribbean Nations Cup of 2007.
