Bolivia football

Bolivia is known to be one of the weakest sides in CONMEBOL. After starring in the 1930 and 1950 World Cups, they entered the finals just once -- in 1994. There, playing winners Germany in the tournament's opening match in Chicago, Bolivia lost 1-0 as Marco Etcheverry, considered the nation's greatest player of the 1990s, got sent off just 3 minutes after coming on as a replacement. They never advanced past the first phase of any World Cup finals, but did they enjoyed being the champions of the Copa América once, in 1963.
