Argentina is one of the most successful couuntires in the sport of football in the world, having won two World Cups in 1978 and 1986. Argentina has also won the Copa América a record 14 occasions. Argentina has also won the Confederations Cup and Olympic football competition.
They wre at their peak in the late 1980's, having a team that included arguably the best footballer of all time Diego Maradona, who was incredible for Argentina in the 1986 finals and also helped his nation reach the final of the 1990 world cup.
