Jesus Maria Pereda – Spain

Jesus Maria Pereda was a great Spanish football player. Pereda scored two decisive goals during the 1964 European Championships which Spain won. Including a goal in the final against The Soviet Union. He played for Spain on 15 occasions scoring 6 goals for his country. He played most his football in Spain, including strong teams such as Real Madrid, Real Valladolid and Sevilla, he then went on to play for Barcelona. He retired from football at the end of 1970.

Ferenc Bene – Hungary

Ferenc Bene was a member of the Hungary side that won the 1964 Olympics and participated in the 1964 European Championships. His two goals in the tournament put him in the record books. He is one of Hungary’s finest ever strikers, he nearly averaged one goal in every other game after winning 76 caps and scoring 36 goals for his country. He made his international debut in 1962 and his final appearance in 1979. Bene was honored as the footballer of the year in 1969.
